Bible text used
Charles Corno uses Paul's letter to the Romans to explain the comparison between the Christian ritual of baptism and the death of Jesus on the Cross. On the Cross Jesus died so we don't have to die. Jesus died to sin once and for all. Baptism for the believer is entry into the body of Christ. We are given newness in Him. Plainly stated, baptism makes us people who belong to Jesus Christ.
